Although, I am not the person who have lived with the new media long enough but I am the one who can tell that my life has changed since I become involve with Facebook. For example, I live in the apartment with my 2 roommates. In order to communicate to each other, sometime instead of talking directly we are using Facebook to communicate to each other. We are too lazy to just walking to another person room and have a conversation in face to face. I know it is a bad habit but I still do it. I think that is the reason why I try to avoid using Facebook in the unproductive way.

I have to confess that I have never heard about Twitter until I take this class. When I registered, I realize that my life has struck with new media by updating my status all the time. In the same time my parents who live in Thailand cannot catch up with new media, they never know that much what’s happening in my life and they never know how can get into new media. The only way my parents can do is waiting for my phone in order to ask me some questions that “ How are you doing?” “ How’s everything in your life?” This is the simply question for my parents to ask me and for me to answer. Part of me, I am glad that my parents is not addicted to Facebook otherwise I believe they will want to know anything from my life in America. And I am certain that it is just another side of my life that I do not want them to engage. Sometimes we may forget that while we are sitting in front of the computer to update our status, there are some people waiting for you in another part of the world.
